This #ThirstyThursday is all about Tea. Keeping some form of routine is great for calming, especially with the chaos of #Covid19. My husband is an avid tea drinker and I’ve followed suit. These are two types of tea I’m enjoying these days.
Kombucha Kombucha is a fermented, lightly effervescent, sweetened black or green tea drink commonly consumed for its supposed health benefits. During fermentation, it contains several species of lactic-acid bacteria which may have probiotic function. Probiotics can improve many aspects of health, including digestion, inflammation and even weight loss. Be careful of the sugar content in these beverages. I’m enjoying the “Health-ade “brand and frequenting the Pink Lady Apple and Blood Orange- Carrot Ginger flavors. They each contain a pretty low level of sugar, 2g-3g per bottle. Mmmmmm.
Echinacea Shield I’m loving “Echinacea Shield” by DAVIDsTEA. It is a green tea chock full of immune boosting ingredients, such as antioxidant rich elderberries and goji, as well as echinacea and ginseng with cold fighting properties. Antioxidants are substances that fight free radicals, with cancer killing properties. It’s nicely sweetened with candied pineapples. YUMMY!
